Israel announces appeal to the International Criminal Court on Netanyahu’s arrest warrant

Israel announced on Friday that it had submitted an “official appeal” requesting that the International Criminal Court prosecutor, Karim Khan, issue an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman, Oren Marmurstein, stated on the platform “X” that “the State of Israel today submitted its official appeal against the ICC’s jurisdiction and the legitimacy of the prosecutor’s requests for arrest warrants against the Israeli Prime Minister and Defense Minister,” according to Agence France-Presse.
