Three Killed, Dozens Injured in Militia Shelling on Al-Fashir

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

At least three people were killed, and dozens were injured on Friday as the shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia escalated in populated areas of Al-Fashir, sparking new waves of displacement.

Eyewitnesses told “Sudan Tribune” that at least three people were killed when an artillery shell, fired by RSF forces, hit the large market in Al-Fashir, injuring dozens. The RSF artillery targeted locations near the army’s General Command, Al-Fashir University, Al-Daraja neighborhood, and most of the western and northern neighborhoods, resulting in a significant number of casualties and the destruction of civilian homes.

Meanwhile, Sudanese army warplanes continued to bomb RSF positions in the eastern and southern parts of Al-Fashir.
