Turkish-Kuwaiti Aid Ship En Route to Sudan

The Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation, in collaboration with the Kuwaiti Relief Society, has dispatched a ship carrying 2,400 tons of humanitarian aid to Sudan. According to Anadolu Agency, the ship set sail from Mersin Port in southern Turkey on Friday after completing all necessary procedures. During the send-off ceremony, Sudan’s Ambassador to Turkey, Nader Youssef Al-Tayeb, expressed his deep gratitude to all those involved in providing assistance to his country.
Ambassador Al-Tayeb highlighted that over the past three months, nearly 8,000 tons of humanitarian aid have been sent from Turkey to Sudan. He emphasized the critical need for continued support, adding that the Sudanese people and government will not forget this act of kindness. Emre Kaya, a member of the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation’s Board of Directors, noted that they are sending the aid ship to one of the most oppressed regions in the world. He added that the foundation, along with the Kuwaiti Relief Society, had previously sent a similar aid shipment to Gaza.
Kuwaiti Relief Society representative Abdulaziz Al-Abid reiterated the organization’s commitment to continuing humanitarian assistance to Sudan in the future.
