Chinese Company Announces Funding for Development Projects in Sudan

The Chinese company CMBE has announced its intent to fund and implement development projects in the localities of the Northern State of Sudan, based on a memorandum of understanding signed between the federal government and China.

A meeting of the Higher Committee for Development Projects in the state, chaired by Nasruddin Awad, acting Secretary General of the state government, discussed on Monday preparations in the seven localities for their development projects, aimed at reconstructing areas damaged by floods and rains.

The acting Secretary General revealed in a press statement an upcoming visit by a federal delegation to inspect the arrangements ahead of commencing the projects. He also mentioned the formation of a committee to identify the specific projects.
