Nile Surpasses Flood Levels in Khartoum

The Khartoum State Autumn Emergency Committee reported that Nile waters had surpassed flood levels recorded in 1988 but remained below the levels of 2020.
The committee called for reinforcing flood defenses, sealing off inlets, and directing machinery to vulnerable areas.
During a meeting on Tuesday, the committee reviewed an epidemiological report and a campaign to combat disease vectors. The report highlighted efforts to eliminate flies and reduce mosquito density.
The Karary locality report noted a significant increase in waste removal, with 3,700 tons of waste transported.
