Northern State: Directives to Comply with Civil Service Laws and Tourism Regulations

Dr. Al-Sadiq Awad Abdul Rasul, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Tourism in the Northern State, emphasized the need for proper administrative management and compliance with civil service laws and regulations governing tourism work. During his speech at the council’s celebration of World Tourism Day on Saturday, themed “Tourism and Peace,” he highlighted that this year’s event coincides with the military victories achieved by the armed forces across various fronts. He paid tribute to their sacrifices in defending the nation’s land and dignity and offered condolences for the fallen soldiers.
Dr. Al-Sadiq stated that the council aims to foster communication and discussions with local tourism directors to achieve strategic objectives in tourism development, making it one of the key economic resources for the state. He underscored the importance of cooperation between the Supreme Council for Tourism and local tourism offices, as well as local government administrators, to boost the tourism sector, improve infrastructure, preserve historical and archaeological resources, and raise public awareness about the significance of tourism.
He also announced that the foundation stone for the Supreme Council for Tourism’s headquarters in Dongola would be laid on Sunday. Meanwhile, Ashraf Mirghani Zaidan, Director General of the Tourism Administration, noted that the meeting of local tourism directors focused on reviewing performance reports for the current year, addressing challenges, and outlining plans for 2025. The meeting also touched on civil service laws and the future prospects for tourism in the Northern State.
