Iran’s Supreme Leader Moved to Safe Location After Nasrallah’s Death

Sources told Reuters on Saturday that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was moved to a secure location with heightened security measures after Israel announced the killing of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah in southern Beirut on Friday.
The sources indicated that “Iran is in constant contact with Hezbollah and its regional allies to determine the ‘next steps’ following Nasrallah’s death.”
The Israeli army officially announced Nasrallah’s killing on Saturday, while Hezbollah reported losing contact with its leader since Friday evening. Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed that the army had eliminated Nasrallah in a Friday airstrike on southern Beirut.
