Agreements with Chinese Contractor to Expedite Water Project in Gedaref

Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar, affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the water project in Gedaref State, as part of its focus on addressing citizens’ basic needs. Agar met with the head of the Dams Implementation Unit, Engineer Harith Mustafa Abdulrahman, on Sunday to discuss the ongoing efforts to resolve issues related to the Gedaref Water Project. Abdulrahman stated that agreements were reached with the Chinese contractor to expedite the project’s execution, noting that the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning had committed to scheduling the repayment of outstanding amounts owed to the Chinese company.
