Army Officer: Our Forces in Al-Muqran Are Engaging Targets to Reach the General Command

Sudan Events – Agencies
A Sudanese army officer stated that the army forces in the Al-Muqran area of the capital, Khartoum, are targeting several Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions and will achieve them within days to join the General Command forces east of Khartoum.
The spokesperson, who was briefing Khartoum state officials in Omdurman in a televised address on Sudan TV, confirmed that the armed forces have transitioned from defense to offense on most fronts. This allowed them to cross bridges from Omdurman to Khartoum and Khartoum Bahri on September 26.
He pointed out that the army in Khartoum state launched attacks from three fronts, the main one being from the Halfaya front, north of Khartoum Bahri. After crossing the Halfaya Bridge north of Omdurman, the army regained control of the Halfaya areas, Al-Azregab, and the entire district of Kadru, north of Khartoum Bahri, following a merger between the Wadi Saydna military forces in Omdurman and the Kadru military area.
According to the officer, the Al-Muqran front, a secondary axis, achieved some objectives in the area near the city center after crossing the White Nile Bridge in southern Omdurman. However, some objectives remain, and efforts are ongoing to advance eastward to reach the army’s General Command headquarters.
He also mentioned another supporting front, the Armored Corps in southern Khartoum, which is making significant progress toward reaching the Rawad Towers and the army’s strategic headquarters near Al-Muqran.
The officer added that all these fronts moved simultaneously when the enemy was at its weakest, predicting the collapse of the RSF and promising positive news soon.
