Sudan Events – Agencies
Turkey and Iran warned against Israel’s attempts to ignite the region and open new fronts that “would have severe global consequences.”
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, in Istanbul on Saturday, “Israel’s efforts to spread war across the region should not be underestimated.”
Fidan warned that Israel is planning to target vital facilities in Iran, particularly in the energy and oil sectors, which could force Iran to respond.
Araqchi stated that Israel is trying to ignite a regional war in the area with its attacks in Gaza and Lebanon, and the expanding conflict in the region represents a serious threat. He added, “We stand for peace, but we are prepared for any scenario.”
Araqchi also emphasized “holding accountable any party that knows when and how Israel will attack Iran,” referring to the United States.
