Standards Authority Emphasizes the Importance of Establishing Export Villages in Nile River State

Rahba Saeed Abdullah, Director-General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority, concluded her visit to Nile River State, during which she discussed strengthening coordination between the authority and state institutions, expanding partnerships, and implementing the authority’s policies and programs across all fields. She also reviewed the overall needs of laboratories in terms of equipment and technical staff. During the visit, she emphasized the importance of creating export villages in the state to bring local products to global markets, thereby adding value and competitiveness to Sudanese exports. Discussions also focused on mitigating the environmental impact of traditional mining in Abu Hamad and Berber localities. Meetings were held with state officials, including Governor Mohamed El-Badawi, who announced that 2025 will be the “Year of Quality” in the state.
