Yamal Wins the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or Ceremony

English player Harry Kane of Bayern Munich and French player Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid shared the Gerd Müller Trophy for the highest goalscorer of the previous season, scoring 52 goals each during the 2023-2024 season. This award was presented at the 68th Ballon d’Or ceremony held on Monday at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal won the Kopa Trophy for the best player under 21.

This year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony was organized in partnership between the Amory Group—owner of France Football and L’Équipe—and UEFA, according to an agreement announced in November 2023.
