Italian Serie A: Dybala Leads Roma Back to Victory
Paulo Dybala scored a first-half goal that led Roma to a 1-0 victory over Torino on Thursday in the tenth round of Serie A, allowing Roma to taste victory again after two draws and a loss in their previous matches.
Dybala scored the only goal for Roma in the 20th minute, and the team managed to maintain its lead until the final whistle, securing all three points.
With this win, Roma increased their points tally to 13, placing them in tenth position with three wins, three losses, and four draws this season.
Meanwhile, Torino remains at 14 points in ninth place after suffering their fourth defeat of the season, having won four matches and drawn two.
Lazio climbed to fifth place, increasing their points to 19 after a resounding away victory, defeating Como 5-1.
Lazio finished the first half ahead with two goals from Valentin Castellanos and Pedro Rodriguez in the 28th and 31st minutes, with Castellanos scoring from a penalty.
In the second half, Como reduced the deficit with a goal from Luca Mazzitelli in the 53rd minute.
Matias Browneder of Como received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 62nd minute, and Nuno Tavares of Lazio was also sent off in the 65th minute.
Later, Lazio added three more goals against Como scored by Patricio Gabaron, Castellanos, and Lome Chawna in the 71st, 81st, and 90th minutes.
Earlier, Fiorentina defeated their hosts Genoa 1-0, with Ruben Gosens scoring the only goal of the match in the 72nd minute.
Fiorentina’s points tally rose to 19, placing them in fourth, while Genoa remains at six points in the last twentieth position.
