On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Ali Yusuf held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty in Cairo, where they discussed common issues and outlined a roadmap for cooperation between Sudan and Egypt.
Ali Yusuf said, “We are one people in two countries.”
The minister considered the meeting with the Egyptian foreign minister to be “important and held in a historic moment.”
He emphasized that Egypt’s official stance is clear and strongly supports Sudanese state institutions and the Sudanese army, especially as Sudan is going through a crucial phase.
He added, “Egypt has not hesitated to take any position to end the war and build the new Sudan, and Egyptian support is highly appreciated by us… Many Sudanese have come to Egypt, and the Egyptian people have welcomed them warmly.”
