Sudanese Foreign Minister Ambassador Ali Youssef interpreted the British representative’s statement at the UN Security Council, indicating that it is not the right time to deploy forces in Sudan, as evidence of a failure to persuade the international community to support military intervention in Sudan.
Youssef told Al-Mohaqiq news site that the UK is using this stance as leverage against the Sudanese government, adding, “We will continue our military and political efforts to end the rebellion.” He emphasized that Sudan will engage diplomatically and politically with the UK to bring it onto a path of peace that will end the rebellion and safeguard the security, stability, dignity, and unity of Sudan’s territory.
