Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aty met on Saturday with Annette Weber, the European Union Special Representative for the Horn of Africa.
The meeting addressed the situation in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of a ceasefire to pave the way for a comprehensive political solution, as well as ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected.
During the meeting, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting efforts to swiftly achieve a ceasefire, reach a political settlement, and restore stability in Sudan while facilitating the delivery of aid.
The discussion also included an exchange of views on various issues and developments in the Horn of Africa, given the region’s mounting challenges and escalating tensions, along with deliberations on the situation in Somalia.
