Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir
On Monday, the Barfour Rapid Support militia assassinated the military officer of the Sudan Liberation Movement Army, Babakar Musa.
The killing of Commander Musa sparked a wave of grief among the head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement and the governor of the Darfur region, western Sudan, Minni Arko Minawi, who tweeted:
Today, I sadly mourn the comrade hero; Babakir Musa, who was martyred while defending citizens in the village of Shaqra, west of El Fasher, after they were threatened by members of the Rapid Support Forces. The comrade tried everything he could to repel and prevent them. To protect the citizens, but he paid the price with his life. May God’s mercy be upon you, hero.
Forces from the Rapid Support militia have been besieging the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, for days, leading to a massive displacement movement in the city.
