Russia Begins Mass Production of Mobile Radiation-Resistant Units

The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s Research Institute reported on Tuesday that the country has begun mass production of mobile units designed to withstand various human and natural threats, including radiation and shock waves, according to Reuters.
The institute said that the “KUB-M” unit takes the form of a reinforced container providing some protection against radiation, shrapnel, debris, and fires.
It added that the standard unit is designed to accommodate 54 people, with the possibility of expansion.
According to some officials, the war between Russia and Ukraine is heading into what could be the final and most dangerous phase, as Russian forces are making faster progress than ever since the conflict began in 2022, while the West is making efforts to support Ukraine.
Although the institute did not link this step to any current crisis, the announcement coincided with the Biden administration’s approval for Ukraine to launch long-range American missiles inside Russia.
The Kremlin stated on Monday that Russia would respond to what it described as a reckless decision by the Biden administration, warning that this move would drag the United States directly into the conflict.
