The clashes in Al-Fashir have continued with increasing intensity, using all types of weapons.
Eyewitnesses told Sudan Tribune that the Rapid Support Forces militia shelled northern and western neighborhoods of Al-Fashir with heavy artillery before engaging in direct confrontations with the joint forces in the northeastern axis.
In a statement posted on their official Facebook page, the Sixth Infantry Division announced that airstrikes had destroyed tanks belonging to the Rapid Support Forces militia in the Jaqo Jaqo area in the far east of Al-Fashir. They also reported that warplanes had targeted what they described as “enemy” positions in the southeastern part of the city.
