Chelsea Concerned Over James’ Injury
Reece James, the Chelsea football player, has suffered a new injury and might spend additional time off the pitch.
The British news agency PA Media reported that James, 24, had only returned to action last October after missing the start of the season. Manager Enzo Maresca revealed that James would miss Saturday’s match against Leicester City after experiencing discomfort in his hamstring.
Maresca expressed hope that the issue would not be serious but acknowledged the club’s caution due to James’ history of injuries.
“Unfortunately, Reece felt something minor and doesn’t want to take any risks this weekend,” Maresca said. “We hope it’s not a long-term injury. He felt something in his hamstring, a muscular issue, so he’ll sit out, and we’ll reassess.”
James has struggled to maintain consistent match fitness, but Maresca remains hopeful this will change over time.
