Sudan Events – Reports
According to United Nations reports on Friday, more than 30,000 people have been displaced from the town of Takina and surrounding villages in northern Al-Jazira State due to attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, around 13 people from Takina were killed due to RSF attacks.
According to the displacement matrix issued by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), an estimated 6,000 families have been displaced from Takina and the surrounding villages in the Al-Kamilin locality due to RSF militia attacks.
The displacement routes map published by the matrix indicates that Takina’s residents had to flee to Al-Hassahisa locality to the north and west, which is also under the control of the RSF. Additionally, they crossed to the eastern bank of the Blue Nile, aiming to reach villages in East Nile in Khartoum and villages in East Al-Jazira, which also suffer from RSF attacks and the spread of epidemics, causing the death of dozens of civilians.
