The Executive Director of East Nile locality, Mortada Yacoub, stated that the rebel RSF militia took over the Sheikh Awad Al-Karim “Abuhina” area, forcibly displaced citizens, prevented prayers, and expelled the local mosque leader.
Yacoub confirmed in a press statement that looting affected all vehicles, shops, and livestock, and that homes were raided, including solar-powered water pumping equipment for drinking water wells. He mentioned that citizens fled under the threat of death and genocide.
