The European Union’s envoy to the Horn of Africa, Annette Weber, is set to visit Port Sudan next Sunday.
High-level sources told Al-Sharq that Weber plans to discuss civilian protection with Sudanese officials and convey messages from officials in Arab and African countries.
The sources also indicated that the envoy would propose measures to safeguard critical infrastructure, including dams, reservoirs, and power stations. Additionally, discussions will address the requirements for establishing a European Union office in Port Sudan.
