Larijani: Our Preparations for Responding to Israel Continue
Ali Larijani, a senior advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, confirmed yesterday that preparations for a third attack on Israel are ongoing. This follows a relative decrease in Tehran’s threats of retaliatory action.
Israel conducted airstrikes on Iranian sites on October 26 in response to an Iranian missile attack on Israel on the first of the same month. That Iranian attack was in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other senior figures in Israeli airstrikes.
Larijani told the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency, “Military officials are studying various options for responding to Israel,” adding, “These should not be discussed in the media as they concern national security and require precision and confidentiality.” He revealed that he delivered a written message from Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and another to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, stating that both messages “reflected Iran’s ongoing support for the resistance axis” and received “positive responses.”
