Sudan Events – Reports
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, stated that the Armed Forces, along with other regular forces and volunteers, are resolutely committed to eradicating the rebellion and eliminating the “terrorist criminal” militia of the Al-Daglo family.
Addressing the Women’s Issues Conference in Eastern Sudan on Monday, Al-Burhan dismissed rumors about plans for a political conference, asserting there will be no settlement with any political entity. He added, “The door for repentance and returning to righteousness is open to anyone who lays down their arms and seeks peace.”
He emphasized the state’s focus on women’s issues, urging the utilization of the region’s resources to empower women in Eastern Sudan. Al-Burhan praised the role of women in advancing and supporting the region and acknowledged their backing of the Armed Forces in defending the nation. He pledged to personally oversee the implementation of the conference’s outcomes.
The conference was attended by Eastern state governors, representatives of the diplomatic corps, leaders of state institutions, women’s groups from Eastern Sudan, and various media outlets.
