Shakhtar Donetsk Pulls off Barcelona’s First European Defeat

Barcelona was defeated 1-0 by Shakhtar Donetsk, Ukraine, this evening, Tuesday, in the fourth round of the group stage of the Champions League, at the Volkspark Stadium in Germany.

The only goal of the match was scored by Shakhtar player Danilo Cekane in the 40th minute.

With this loss, Barcelona’s balance freezes at 9 points at the top of Group H, while Shakhtar raises its balance to 6 points in third place.
