Sudan Events – Follow-up
The Joint Forces of the Armed Movements reported that Sudanese Special Forces and joint forces foiled an attempt to smuggle dangerous weapons, previously unused in Sudan, through a carefully executed military operation near Nyala city on Sunday morning.
According to a statement by the joint forces, the operation resulted in the seizure of 3 large drones capable of carrying four air-to-ground missiles, 6 smaller drones capable of carrying two air-to-ground missiles, and the killing of over 30 mercenaries from the Rapid Support Forces militia, in addition to the destruction of 8 military vehicles.
The seized weapons included Danger Propellers drones, serial number J/DF24-23-01-043A, manufactured by Woodcomp Propellers in the Czech Republic. These drones, modified for military use, entered Sudan with support and funding from the UAE, coordinated through Chad to facilitate their transit.
The joint forces sent a message to the UAE: “You should know that we oppose all your steps from behind the western and northern borders. Your plans will not succeed no matter how hard you try, and stop interfering with our land and security. You are wasting your people’s resources in a losing project, and defeat is your fate in Sudan. We will remain steadfast to eliminate all your regional and international mercenaries and seize your weapons, no matter their cost. Thank you for sending these high-quality weapons, which are now in our hands and will be used to bring you defeat after defeat.”
Message to the Chadian Regime
The joint forces also directed a message to the Chadian government, stating: “What you are doing in supporting the Rapid Support Forces militia with weapons and supplies and facilitating their passage through your territory will not be forgiven by history. Your support for the militia is a stain on your reputation, and you will pay dearly if you do not stop this interference.”
The statement emphasized that this military success reflects the readiness of Sudanese forces to confront all conspiracies targeting the security and safety of the nation.
