Sudan Events – Reports
Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council Malik Agar announced that Chad has refused to host Sudanese high school certificate exams for the 13,000 Sudanese students residing there. Agar described the move as part of a broader war aimed at destroying Sudan.
Speaking at the opening session of the Second Political Forum of the Sudan Justice Alliance in Port Sudan on Saturday, Agar addressed the international community’s stance on the war in Sudan. He pointed out the frequent diplomatic movements and visits to the country, emphasizing the need to focus on domestic solutions. He also accused certain international actors of promoting a “false democracy.”
Agar stressed that democracy varies according to environmental contexts, stating that Sudan needs social justice rather than a one-size-fits-all democratic model.
He further confirmed that the government is currently working on two critical issues: changing the national currency and preparing for the postponed high school certificate exams. He stated that both initiatives are progressing well.
