Sudan Events – Reports
On Sunday, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, inspected the frontlines at the Al-Ghar camp in the Al-Butana region. He assessed the readiness of the Al-Butana Shield Forces, led by Commander Abu Aqila Kikel, in their fight against the rebellion.
Addressing the forces, Al-Burhan emphasized that the Battle for Dignity continues, buoyed by popular support for this national mission. He acknowledged the participation of the Armed Forces, Joint Forces, the Northern Shield, Sudan Shield, and mobilized volunteers in combating the terrorist militia.
He praised the people of Al-Butana for their sacrifices and courage in defending the nation, commending the wisdom and support of tribal leader Al-Nazir Abu Sin for the Armed Forces. Al-Burhan firmly stated, “There will be no negotiations or ceasefires with the rebels. Everyone is determined to end and uproot the rebellion forever.”
Al-Burhan also saluted Commander Abu Aqila Kikel for his decision to align with the Armed Forces in this national struggle.
He criticized the international community’s indifference to Sudan’s crisis, citing unimplemented UN Security Council resolutions, such as the lifting of the siege on El-Fasher, and the continued supply of weapons to the militia.
The Commander-in-Chief reiterated the state’s commitment to equipping all forces in the Battle for Dignity with the necessary arms and resources, declaring, “We will not stop the war until the militia is defeated or surrenders.”
