The Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company office in the Red Sea State, Mohamed Ahmed Othman Al-Haj Tita, revealed an ambitious plan to tighten control over the traditional mining sector in the state starting from the new year, aiming to increase production, support revenues, and protect the environment and the safety of workers.
Tita urged all workers in the traditional mining sector in Red Sea State to comply with environmental regulations and confirmed the company’s commitment to assisting in the safe practice of mining activities that ensure the safety of workers and preserve the country’s mineral resources.
A joint meeting between the company’s office in Red Sea State and the coordination, monitoring, violations, and crossings departments discussed mechanisms for tightening control over the traditional mining sector. The meeting emphasized the need to remove violations in traditional mining activities and work together to reduce environmental and health risks.
