Spanish Cup Round of 16 Draw: Barcelona Faces Betis, Real Madrid Hosts Celta Vigo
The draw for the Spanish Copa del Rey Round of 16, held on Wednesday, placed 31-time record champions Barcelona in a challenging home clash against Real Betis.
Real Madrid will host Celta Vigo in the same round, while defending champions Athletic Bilbao will face a Basque derby at home against Osasuna.
Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid will visit second-division side Elche, while Getafe will travel to fourth-division Pontvedra.
In other fixtures, Valencia will face fourth-tier Ourense, Almería will host second-division Leganés, and Real Sociedad will play Rayo Vallecano at home.
The matches are scheduled to be played between January 14 and 16.
