The leader of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hamidti,” admitted the loss of the Battle of Wad Madani. In a speech, he said, “We lost a round, but we haven’t lost the battle. The war is a back-and-forth,” and added, “We lost Wad Madani and lost our best sons.”
Hamidti, who seemed affected by his forces’ defeat in Wad Madani, said, “The war has lasted for 21 months and will continue for 21 years.”
