Al-Burhan Calls for Not Taking Justice into One’s Own Hands

Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, congratulated the citizens of Al-Jazeera State and all Sudanese citizens on the liberation of the city of Wad Madani.
In his address to a public crowd at the Corniche in Port Sudan, Al-Burhan praised the bravery of the Armed Forces in Al-Fasher and their resilience in defeating and driving out the terrorist militia. He also commended the unity and steadfastness of the Sudanese people in confronting the conspiracies against them.
Al-Burhan stated that victories will continue, and the war will only end by eliminating this enemy. He urged citizens who have been subjected to violations by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia not to take justice into their own hands and not to enforce the law by themselves. Instead, they should hand over those involved in these crimes to the relevant authorities, affirming, “We are the Armed Forces, and we act according to humanitarian principles.”
He announced that the citizens of Khartoum State will soon return to their homes, just as all citizens will return. He stated, “Our covenant is with the Sudanese people, and we will not rest until we have eradicated this rebellious militia and defeated it.”
He pointed to the continuation of military battles on all fronts, calling on all those who have taken up arms to respond to the call of the homeland. He said, “Anyone who lays down their arms will be welcomed,” and appealed to the leaders of the traditional administration to urge their sons to heed the voice of reason and sever ties with this terrorist militia, emphasizing that the homeland belongs to everyone.
