Social Development Minister Launches Convoy to Al-Jazeera with Costs Exceeding 400 Million Sudanese Pounds

The Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, praised the victories of the Armed Forces, joint forces, and the people of Sudan over the rebel militias.
He congratulated Al-Jazeera State on the liberation of the state’s capital, Wad Madani.
This came during his visit to Al-Jazeera State to launch a food materials convoy, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Zakat Bureau, directors of general departments at the bureau, and the Zakat Bureau secretaries of both Al-Jazeera and Gedaref States.
Ahmed Adam Bakhit stated that this visit aimed to confirm their support for the Sudanese people and share in the joy of victory. He praised the role of the Zakat Bureau in providing support to those in need during these exceptional circumstances, noting that the convoy included both food and health materials.
The minister also inspected the self-security forces of the Zakat Bureau, who had been guarding the building after it was taken by mercenaries. The delegation toured some city neighborhoods, meeting citizens who greeted them with chants of “One Army, One People.”
For his part, the Secretary-General of Al-Jazeera State Government, Bilal Ali, emphasized the planning for providing services to citizens, noting that the state and working teams had managed to restore the operation of over forty water stations, in addition to resuming operations at the kidney, pediatric, surgery, and general hospitals. He also assured that electricity and life would return to the state in the coming weeks. The Secretary-General also revealed plans for a “Return to Homes” program and praised the role of the Ministry of Social Development and the Zakat Bureau in providing assistance to the people of Al-Jazeera State in shelters.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Zakat Bureau, Ahmed Ibrahim Abdullah, stated that this convoy marks the first step for the Zakat Bureau to the state after its liberation, emphasizing that support would continue until every inch of the country is liberated.
The Secretary-General of the Zakat Bureau’s Security Forces, assigned to guard the building after it was seized by militias, also spoke, confirming their support for guarding all Zakat offices by Zakat members themselves in collaboration with police and judicial institutions.
The Secretary-General clarified that the convoy contained food materials valued at over 400 million Sudanese pounds, with more convoys to follow.
