Sovereign Council Member Promises to Contribute to Reconstruction Efforts in Sennar State

A member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Assistant Commander, Major General Ibrahim Jaber, was briefed on the overall situation in Sennar State and the essential needs for restoring services and rebuilding what was destroyed by the war in the state.
During his meeting on Thursday at his office with Sennar’s governor, Major General (Ret.) Al-Zubair Hassan, he emphasized the government’s commitment to optimally utilizing available resources to achieve security and stability and meet the essential needs of the citizens.
For his part, the Governor of Sennar explained that the meeting addressed the debts of farmers and the possibility of simplifying procedures at the Agricultural Bank for farmers who lost their savings, which were looted by the terrorist militias. He also stressed the importance of providing agricultural fuel early and providing opportunities for agricultural investment in the irrigated sector.
The Governor of Sennar added that the meeting also discussed ways to rebuild infrastructure, public facilities, and the restoration of assets and machinery, as well as computer and communication systems. He highlighted the necessity of urging the partnerships working on the Al-Hawata-Singa road to complete the remaining work on the road.
He also mentioned that the member of the Sovereign Council promised to direct the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company to encourage companies to explore the Jebel Moya area and bring it into production.
