Sudan Elected to Executive Office of the Union of Arab Banks

Mr. Abbas Abdullah Abbas, President of the Sudanese Banking Union, has been elected as a member of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab Banks, representing the Sudanese Banking Union.

This recognition comes in appreciation of Sudan’s role, along with its banking sector and the efforts of the Sudanese Banking Union’s Board of Directors, in the activities of the Union of Arab Banks.

The election takes place amid challenging conditions facing Sudanese banks due to the war and its severe repercussions. However, the sector managed to absorb the shock and resume its activities efficiently and effectively in a short time, earning regional praise and placing Sudan in a position of recognition in regional forums.
