Attacks by the Rapid Support Forces on villages in Bara, North Kordofan State, have led to the displacement of thousands of families to other states.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) stated that “3,260 families have been displaced from several villages in Bara locality due to increased insecurity.”
It reported that the displaced fled from at least 12 villages, including Umm Qirfa, Al-Markha, and Umm Trakeish.
The IOM noted that the displaced have taken refuge in areas in Shikan and Umm Dam Haj Ahmed in North Kordofan, Al-Abbasiya in South Kordofan, Tandalti and Kosti in White Nile State, and Omdurman in Khartoum State.
