Major Initiative Launched to Rebuild the Central Gold Complex

Chairman of the Gold Exporters Division, Abdulmonem Al-Siddiq, announced the launch of a major initiative to rebuild the Central Gold Complex—a move he described as the beginning of revitalizing the heart of the capital following the devastation caused by the war.

Abdulmonem affirmed that traders at the complex have shown strong determination and full commitment to restoring the site, which was looted and vandalized by the Rapid Support Forces militia. He emphasized that the extent of the destruction will not deter them from returning the complex to its former state.

He added that this initiative is more than just a reconstruction effort—it is a powerful message that Khartoum is rising from the rubble and that the Gold Complex will once again become a vital economic contributor, bolstered by the gold commodity, which has consistently supported the national economy and the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Abdulmonem also called on the Governor of Khartoum to officially support the reconstruction efforts, stressing that this step would mark a genuine beginning for the capital’s revival. The reopening of the complex would restore a strategic resource and a vital commercial sector serving the entire country.
