The Sudanese army and the joint force repelled an attack on the city of El Fasher on Monday, launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
Colonel Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, spokesperson for the joint force, told “Al-Tara Sudan” that the army and joint forces successfully repelled the RSF militia’s attack, which came from the southern and eastern directions.
He stated that Hemetti’s forces suffered heavy losses during the assault, leaving behind their dead and vehicles before fleeing the battlefield. He also confirmed that the RSF had launched a large number of artillery shells before initiating the attack.
He noted that the situation in El Fasher has returned to normal following the successful defense against the militia assault. He emphasized that the joint force, along with the army and the popular resistance, will serve as a strong barrier against all militia offensives.
