Sudan Events – Agencies

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has stated that the war in Sudan is taking a very dangerous turn with the participation of hundreds of thousands of mercenaries from Colombia and some neighboring countries, sponsored and funded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a statement received by (Sudanese Echoes), the Office of the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation drew attention of the international and regional community to the extent of the conspiracy against the Sudanese state, which has been targeted by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the mercenary forces fighting alongside them since the outbreak of the war in April 2023.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed that the government possesses all the documents proving the involvement of mercenaries from Colombia and some neighboring countries, sponsored and funded by the UAE.

It indicated that the government had previously submitted these documents to the UN Security Council, and that this phenomenon has also been documented by regional and international organizations and media investigative reports.

The Government of Sudan asserted that the participation of mercenaries from neighboring countries and countries outside the African continent in the aggression against Sudan is a phenomenon that threatens peace and security in the region and the African continent in general. It imposes a new reality that threatens the sovereignty of states, violates their sanctities, and alters the course of the war, transforming it into a cross-border terrorist war waged by proxy.

The government noted that this dangerous trend in the course of the war poses a threat to regional and international peace and security, warning of the resulting consequences.
