
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Thursday with Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and delegations from both countries.
Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the meeting addressed the development of strategic relations between Egypt and Sudan and explored ways to support and expand these ties across various sectors to help restore stability in Sudan and fulfill the aspirations of both nations for development and prosperity.
President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, stressing Egypt’s full backing of all efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in Sudan and ending the current humanitarian crisis in a manner that preserves the rights and resources of the Sudanese people.
The discussions also focused on efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis and realize the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace and stability. Additionally, the two sides discussed avenues for bilateral cooperation in post-conflict reconstruction in Sudan.
El-Shennawy noted that the meeting also included an exchange of views on regional developments, with both sides emphasizing the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on all matters of mutual interest.
