Sudan Qualifies for CHAN Quarterfinals After Draw with Senegal

Sudan’s national football team advanced to the quarterfinals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) after a goalless draw against Senegal on Tuesday evening in Zanzibar, topping Group D.

The “Jedi Falcons” reached six points, having previously defeated Nigeria 4-0 and drawn positively against Congo-Brazzaville, edging out Senegal on goal difference.

Sudan is now set to face Algeria in the battle for a place in the tournament semifinals.
