During a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The leaders discussed bilateral relations and prospects for joint cooperation between Sudan and Qatar. Al-Burhan briefed the Emir on developments in Sudan, emphasizing the deep historical ties between the two peoples.
Sheikh Tamim affirmed Qatar’s support for Sudan’s unity, security, and stability, expressing his country’s desire to see peace and stability restored in Sudan as soon as possible.
