The Minister of Education and National Development, Dr. Al-Tihami Al-Zein, issued a decree establishing a Supreme Committee to review Sudan’s general education curricula.
The committee’s mandate includes evaluating the curricula’s relevance to current national conditions, addressing prevailing challenges, promoting civic education, reinforcing national unity, combating racism and hate speech, and fostering a culture of peace while rejecting violence.
Three specialized subcommittees were formed under the Supreme Committee: one for preschool and primary education, another for middle education, and a third for secondary education. These subcommittees will operate according to the guidance and plans of the Supreme Committee.
