International press delegation arrives to assess developments on the ground in Sudan

Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism Khalid Al-Iseir met on Thursday with a delegation of independent journalists from the United Kingdom and several Arab countries who arrived in Sudan to observe first-hand the humanitarian situation and report on the suffering of displaced people in affected areas.
During the meeting, the minister provided a detailed briefing on the efforts undertaken by the state and local institutions to confront current challenges, stressing that the stage requires broad international and regional cooperation to mitigate the humanitarian crisis.
He praised the significant role played by the Sudanese press in amplifying citizens’ voices and highlighting the issues facing displaced communities despite harsh conditions, and welcomed cooperation with international institutions to enhance the professional capacity of media workers.
