Tax Authority: Our Revenues Are Directed Toward Supporting the “Battle of Dignity”

Badr Al-Tamam Mohamed Saad, Secretary-General of the Tax Authority, revealed that the authority achieved revenues amounting to 2.8 trillion SDG, equivalent to 1.3 billion USD, marking a 230% increase over the target set up to October 2025.

He stated that all tax revenues during this period are being directed toward the war effort to provide all necessary needs for the “Battle of Dignity.” He affirmed that greater efforts will be made to increase revenues and support the state treasury, emphasizing that the Tax Authority—being one of the largest revenue-generating units—will not fail the state during this exceptional period.

During his visit to Gedaref State on Saturday and his joint meeting with the staff of the state’s Tax Authority, led by Bakri Hussein, Director of the Tax Authority in the state, the Secretary-General praised the significant role and fruitful cooperation with the Gedaref government, which positively contributed to increasing both state and federal revenues. He added that the visit comes as part of a tour of various states to assess conditions, identify issues and challenges, and work to resolve them.

Bakri Hussein, Director of the Tax Authority in Gedaref State, noted that the visit constitutes strong motivation to achieve more revenue in the coming stage, in addition to allowing the Secretary-General to directly observe both state and federal revenue performance.

The Secretary-General also inspected the crop markets and the grain silo, and reviewed the implementation of the “E-Receipt” system in collection operations.
