Washington: Committed to Using All Our Influence on the Sudan Crisis

The regional spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, Karissa Gonzalez, affirmed that Washington is committed to using all its influence regarding the crisis in Sudan.
Gonzalez added in remarks to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath that the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the United States was successful by all standards, emphasizing that the strategic and defense relations with Saudi Arabia are long-term.
Masad Boulos, senior advisor to U.S. President Donald Trump, stated that a ceasefire in Sudan is necessary to save lives, noting that it represents a crucial step toward sustainable dialogue and the transition to civilian rule.
Boulos also added that the administration expects the Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces to adhere to the ceasefire unconditionally, contributing to the cessation of violence and creating conditions for resuming the political process.
