Erdoğan: Our Initiatives to Stop the Bloodshed in Sudan Are Ongoing

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan affirmed on Wednesday that Ankara’s initiatives focused on peace and dialogue to end the bloodshed among Sudanese “brothers” and to restore security and stability to the country are continuing.

This came in a message published by the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications on its account on the platform “X,” on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, marked annually on December 10.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdoğan expressed his hope that the day would bring peace, prosperity, and stability to the entire world, especially Gaza, Palestine, and Sudan.

He stressed that the path to a just and lasting peace in Gaza lies in strengthening the ceasefire and implementing the two-state solution.

Erdoğan also congratulated humanity—particularly the Turkish people—on the 77th anniversary of the UN’s adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
