Kamil Idris Orders Activation of Joint Technical Committees Between Khartoum and Juba

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris emphasized the strong relations between Sudan and South Sudan and his country’s commitment to enhancing them for the benefit of both peoples.

On Monday, he met with a delegation from South Sudan led by the President’s Security Advisor Tut Goluak and the South Sudanese Foreign Minister, in the presence of Energy Minister Eng. Al-Mutasim Ibrahim Ahmed and Sudan’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Essam Karrar.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them. The Prime Minister stressed the need to activate all joint technical committees between the two countries to enhance cooperation across all sectors.

The South Sudanese delegation affirmed the long-standing fraternal ties, highlighting the shared destiny of the Sudanese and South Sudanese peoples. Tut Goluak conveyed an invitation from President Salva Kiir of South Sudan for Prime Minister Kamal Idris to visit Juba at the earliest opportunity.
