The government of South Kordofan state has reported that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted the headquarters of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) in Kadugli for the second time on Monday evening.
Adam Salim, the state’s media director, told Altra Sudan that the RSF militia attacked the UNISFA mission’s headquarters again on Monday evening.
He added that drones also struck the Government Secretariat compound and areas near the General Intelligence Service buildings, without causing any casualties.
Salim noted that the militia has been targeting the city with artillery and drones to instill fear among residents.
He confirmed that the armed forces and their supporting units are “fully prepared” to repel any attack on Kadugli.
The media official stated that the security situation in Kadugli remains “stable” and daily life is “very normal.”
He highlighted that Kadugli hosts all key civil and military institutions and has withstood the war period, making it a crucial element in the conflict equation.
